What is online outplacement?

Outplacement online is personal guidance to new work, fully digital or hybrid.

The process offers the same structure and phases as a regular outplacement process, but discussions take place online. You work with a coach on insight, application skills and career direction. This way, you get professional support where and when it suits you.

Here, each participant chooses the modules that suit him or her — from self-insight and application training to personal branding or self-employment. What is the chance that someone will find a new job through outplacement?
Most participants find a suitable position within 6 months. Thanks to our personal guidance, coaching and job search help, the chances of sustainable work are significantly increased. Of course, it depends very much on the position and the person whether the process leads to a new position.
What is the difference between outplacement and second track reintegration?
Outplacement focuses on finding a new job outside the organization after dismissal. Second track reintegration takes place during illness, seeking appropriate work outside your own organization, in accordance with the Gatekeeper Improvement Act.
Where does the outplacement process take place?
Our processes are hybrid: participants can choose to have conversations on location (including in Gouda, Emmen and other cities), online via Teams, or a combination of these. Care4careers has the opportunity to have conversations at more than 55 locations in the Netherlands.
What does outplacement cost on average?
The costs vary between €2,000 and €7,500, depending on the duration and content of the outplacement process. At Care4Careers, we work with modular processes, tailored to the employee's situation, wishes and opportunities.
Do you have experience with people with a migration background?
Yes, we supervise a diverse group of participants. Our coaches are trained in inclusive career guidance and have extensive experience with people with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Do you also offer outplacement for employers in the event of (collective) dismissal?
Yes. We supervise both individual and collective outplacement processes for employers. Whether it concerns one employee or a larger group, we provide personal coaching, labor market orientation and - if desired - group sessions to carefully and future-oriented guide the dismissal. This is how you support your employees and show good employment practices.
Do you also offer outplacement programs in English?
Yes, definitely. We offer full outplacement guidance in English for international employees or expats. Our coaches are experienced in supervising non-Dutch speaking candidates and tailor the process to both the language and the cultural context.
Is outplacement reimbursed by the UWV or the employer?
In most cases, the employer pays for the outplacement process, often as part of a settlement agreement. In some situations, such as reintegration or termination of a temporary contract, compensation from the UWV may be possible.
When is it wise to offer outplacement?
Outplacement is appropriate in the event of (imminent) dismissal, reorganization or when a position ceases to exist. Even in the event of a long-term failure or mismatch between employee and organization, outplacement offers perspective and guidance towards a new future.
