What does career coaching cost?
Career coaching costs an average of between €80 and €200 per hour. The exact costs depend on the coach's experience, the length of the process and your personal situation. At Care4Careers, customization is key — each process is unique and tailored to your career needs.
What do the costs depend on?
The final cost of career coaching depends on factors such as:
- The number of calls required
- The complexity of your request for help
- Whether tests or analyses are required (such as a career scan)
- The coach's experience (junior or senior)
- Whether it's privately or via the employer
At Care4Careers, we always offer customized solutions. We start with an intake and, based on that, draw up a proposal that suits the client's question, goal and pace.
At Care4Careers, we only work with experienced coaches.
Are career coaching costs reimbursed?
In many cases, you can be reimbursed (part of) the costs for career coaching. It pays to carefully investigate which arrangements or options are available:
- Through your employer — Many organizations have a training or development budget. From this, you can often (partly) fund career coaching. Ask your HR advisor or manager about the options.
- Through sector funds or collective agreements — In certain sectors, there are development or vitality schemes that allow you to follow a process for free or at a substantial discount. These are usually managed through a training fund or through collective bargaining agreements.
- Via the UWV — Are you following a reintegration process (such as Spoor 2)? Then career guidance is often part of the support. The UWV can (partly) reimburse this as part of the “Make Work Fit” or “Go to Work” service.
- As a self-employed person — As an independent entrepreneur, you can sometimes include career coaching as a business expense. Your accountant or bookkeeper can best advise you on this.
- Through the government (temporary subsidy schemes) — Please note: the government occasionally opens special subsidy programs, such as the 'NL Leert Door' program or the STAP scheme (previously). These jars are often available on a limited basis and run out quickly. Keep a close eye on websites such as rijksoverheid.nl or lerendoejezo.nl and sign up on time when a new round of subsidies starts.
💡 Hint: Always check if you are eligible for compensation — from your employer, sector fund or municipality. More is often possible than you think, especially if you are on time.
How does Care4Careers work?
For us, it's all about personal guidance. Not a standard package, but a process that suits your situation. We:
- Listen carefully to your request for help
- See together what is needed
- Draw up a concrete and targeted plan
- Provide practical, result-oriented coaching
- Help us think about your future and your options
- Helping you make choices for now and later
Our career scan is a good example of this: a combination of a validated career test and four personal interviews — focused on self-insight, direction and perspective.
What does it give?
The value of career coaching is not only in the conversations themselves, but especially in the results:
- More insight into your talents and opportunities
- A concrete career plan or course of training
- New energy and confidence in your career
- Better choices for now and later
- Preventing dropouts or wrong career steps
